An abstract artwork representing a gaze at the Mediterranean Sea through various layers of grilles, enclosures, and buildings—a synthesis and abstraction of my experiences looking at the sea during my childhood and adolescence in Almería. The piece is crafted in multiple layers using museum board (combining laser cutting with handcraft), so that as the viewer moves around the artwork, the depth and volume of the planes come to life.
